The Institute is a non profit organization. Doing research in basic science is curiosity driven and its purpose is to expand our knowledge of the universe, not to make any economic rewards.

The mission of the Institute is to facilitate the development of scientific research. It should provide a comfortable environment to build knowledge.
This center has a different take in science development to universities and other institutions available in México. We expect that our associates spend their time mainly in research without the obligation of other academic duties. We encourage cooperation with undergraduate and graduate students as well as researchers from other institutions.
La misión del Instituto es facilitar el desarrollo de la investigación científica. Debe proveer un ambiente cómodo para la construcción del conocimiento.
Este centro tiene una diferente idea del desarrollo científico respecto a de las universidades y otras instituciones disponibles en México. Esperamos que nuestros asociados inviertan su tiempo principalmete en la investigación sin la obligación de otras tareas académicas.
The vision of the Institute is to create a centre whose sole purpose is scientific research, facilitating breakthroughs in fundamental science. Independent studies are encouraged, where scientists feel in charge of their own research.
